For all who don’t know I’m obsessed with Fashion Magazines

Marie Claire is one of my favorites and I thought it would  be

nice to share some of the pages I #adore  from the issue.

MARCH 2013 Issue

This issue featured Keira Knightley on the cover.

It opens with a beautiful Louis Vuitton ad. I remember watching parts of the Spring Collection show on Rachel Zoe it was #everthing.

You can see the full collection here

Then there’s the #Fendi ad #todyefor  a beautiful sequins peplum strapless cocktail dress in multi tone metallic.

Max Mara features a dark plaid sided and leopard front panel pencil skirt it  is #brilliant.

Guess has a great ad with a salmon men’s suit. I know your thinking men in the color salmon “oh no” but it’s not bright, it’s a washed out color you can see it here.

L’Oreal has a new product called 3D Nail Lingerie from Colour Riche Nail the ad shows it in Royalty Reinvented (107). This color kit looks fun and creative. The look is great for everyday or evening. The purple tone is subtle and the gold shimmer is at the bottom of the nail so it doesn’t over power the purple.

Who can go wrong in #justcavalli I #luv this brand it reminds me of the old Versace prints. I #adore everything about this line the colors, the prints, the shape, the look. Check it out for yourself  here.

BeBe which is one of my Best Friends favorite brand has a Floral Suit collection that is #stunning click here.

Tommy Hilfiger brings us stripe on stripe nautical looks click here.

The ad for the #Fierce Award goes to Covergirl with my girls Nervo @nervomusic I’m a Hip Hop Rock style girl a child of the 80’s and 90’s so of course I adore their look.

I applaud cover girl for reaching this audience who is obsessed with creative makeup looks.

These pages show you everything you need to create your #Spring2013 wardrobe and all the trends to look out for. I tore out every page and made a look book to take with me shopping.

101 Ideas: Fiber Optics-This page shows you all the natural woven textures that are trending this spring and summer. Tropic Thunder – Shows the wild side of fashion this Spring. I love the print mixtures and color combos. A Bright Future Futuristic and Funky just like I me and my signature style. They show a lot of the translucent and lucite trends that are so #hot even into the summer. Just A Peek- shows us some see through options, who ever thought mesh and net would be in such a high demand again but it’s back with a vengeance. Splurge vs. Steal– shows us how to get a great deal on the vertical stripe look that is so slimming and chic. The first look which is the best look is the cheapest but you could make it even cheaper use the #5 glasses fro and the second looks shoes the Mia from

Under $100- I love the mix of options my fav item is #7 all the items are from Duro Olowu at

Rock Stars – I’m a sucker for jewelry and this section definitely gives me my fix. My fav piece are the Pristine earrings from Lauren Rubinski. Look Luxe For Less – Has some great pieces to choose from I #adore the brown leather skirt from and the flats from I have to support Big Girl in a Skinny World– my fav picks from this page are the multi color print front panel with black sides with white piping dress is a must see from and the forest green with gold foil heel top with black and white tiled trim shoe from I would wear them together the dress looks like it will give the already gorgeous curvy figure more definition and the shoe is a show stopper.

Marie Claire@work section is Killer! Piece It Together is colorblock heaven from home to foot. My fav is the Brown leather with black and cream dress from DKNY sold at Also the Fendi color-block short skirt is adorable. It’s a peplum with detail trimmed in light blue with beige, brown, black and white, sounds weird but you have to see it (page 216). Prep Cool for my #geekchic girls has a brown pleated flare belted skirt with navy inlays from that I love. I’m not big on this trend myself but I admire those who rock it!

Urban Renewal with Beautiful Photographs by TESH showcased a look from @EmilioPucci and pants by Atluzarra  that are gorgeous and I would love to own them. I couldn’t really see the outfit from @PeterPilotto due to the pose but I think its divine and the shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood for Peter Pilotto are SIC! The look before last is so chic I think the little black dress and the knee high gladiator boots are from Gucci.

In LE GRAND CIRQUE with Photographs by TESH my fav looks are the gorgeous woven crop “work of art” top by Balmain  (if you follow me you know I #adore @Balmain)

Check out the Shop the Shoot pages (326-334) to see how you can purchase some of the looks I’ve mentioned.

Fashion In Noir Day 1- Olivier Rousteing

4 Feb

This is my salute to Black History Month, I will salute a Fashion Icon each day this month. Their are so many unknown in fashion and it’s my pleasure to shine a light on the great work they do and have done to open doors and pave the way for us still on the path.

DAY ONE – Olivier Rousteing for  Balmain

Oliver Rousteing

Balmain 2013

I snagged this bio from

Olivier Rousteing is a French fashion designer born in 1986 in France. He grew up in Bordeaux before moving to Paris to study at ESMOD, the Ecole Supérieure des Arts et Techniques de la Mode. In 2003, he graduated and began his career as a designer at Roberto Cavalli. He was then quickly promoted to the head of the Italian label’s women’s ready-to-wear collection, where he served five years as creative director.

In 2009, Olivier Rousteing was hired by Balmain as a designer for the brand’s women’s ready-to-wear line. He worked closely with, ChristopheDecarnin, the French fashion house’s creative director since 2006, building a style similar to that of his mentor, creating an ultra-feminine rock and roll silhouette.

On April 26, 2011, the 25-year-old, Olivier Rousteing replaced Christophe Decarnin as the creative director for Balmain, gaining full control of the production of both the men’s and women’s read-to-wear lines. He presented his first collection for Balmain during the Spring/Summer 2011 shows in Paris. Vests with striking shoulder pads, studded dresses, gold hues, and bare legs defined Rousteing’s first runway collection. The designer still holds the reigns of the French fashion house today.

I am obsessed with his work because he is new and fresh, his work reminds me of early VERSACE. He’s young gorgeous and creative what’s not to love.

2012 Fashion Trend Rewind

31 Dec

New Years is always a time of reflection and I wanted to post some of my favorite trends of the year!

Who didn’t adore Neons?

They made us happy and alive and for some of us they reminded us of a great time in our lives the 90’s. We partied in those colors and made many fashion misses that in this season where forgivable. I love my neon’s and I hope they don’t go far!

Bright Colored Hair

I think I wore this trend out! I had Grape hair, Hot pink hair, light pink hair, yellow hair, orange hair, I still have a green wig I haven’t worn yet.  These colors gave us a new way to express ourselves and gave hair stylist another platform to show their talent. I apologize to the color at home artist that may be walking around with bald spots. I will be doing a post on how to wear a wig. If you want to see some of my colorful looks check out my FB page .

Bright & Creative Make-Up

I didn’t Roc this one as much because I had no where to go, going to change that for the new year. I’ve admired so many of these great looks and have save them to try whether in season or out of season.  You can check me out playing at Makeup Bee and looks I love at Preen Me !

This is a trend I also love in and out of season the way I feel in leopard in indescribable, but I’m going to try. Leopard make me feel sexy. I feel like a Queen and Tigress!  People alway look at you when you wear Leopard now whether what they say is good or bad is up to how you ROC it!

Nail Art

Who didn’t love and embrace this trend. It is so fun and so creative from the subtle to the wild and crazy.  This trend you could wear with the most basic outfit and the craziest nails and be so fabulous!  I won’t miss these because I will continue to  Roc It until I’m tried of it!

via André Leon Talley Thinks Uggs Are as ‘Chic as Heels’, Keep You ‘Anchored in Reality’ | Fashionista.

So I recently had the opt to read about Andre’ Leon Talley (one of my fav people in world) obsession with Uggs. I love the brand myself not being able to purchase a pair but I have some look alikes. I love that they make it acceptable to where slipper like shoes that are warm and comfortable and still look chic. Now I love heels as much as any women but they hurt and you can not wear them everyday with everything. Uggs gives your feet the freedom to be comfortable. Our feet says Thank you @OfficialALT and @uggsonline for making comfortable shoes fashionable. Grab a pair @
